REGATTA RACES Time line
Thursday 10th April from 0800 till 1700
course laid in the river starting about mid river about mid way along the Georgetown board walk, going up stream to just above the three sisters.
Friday at 0600, the course will be checked for any problems and there will be people on site
Friday 1300 – racing starts on the course
Friday 1700 – racing finishes on the course for the day
Saturday 0800 racing starts on the course
Saturday 1630 racing finishes and the course starts to be pulled
Saturday 1900 course fully removed from the river
Reminders:
Today is the last day for the Cherry Blossom tours out of Georgetown. The Monuments Cruise will continue to run from Alexandria to Georgetown on Saturdays and Sundays only until the next schedule change.
Peak bloom dates for the festival are predicted to be April 8-12, according to the National Park Service. This year's festival will be held March 20-April 13, with the festival parade to be held April 12
